Let me see your light

Help us O God to shine brightly before our children and grandchildren.

I love the picture in Psalm 91 of God covering us with his feathers... I see a little baby chic nestled under the wing of his momma; sinking into the soft down of her breast, protected by her wing.

I believe God is like this with us and He wants us to stay protected and very close. So close that we can hear his very heartbeat.

The Lord revealed to me how he wants parents and grandparents to guide their children and grandchildren. He said our children are to be kept under our wings - protected - and He will give us the understanding of who He made them to be.  He will reveal to you what He created them for,  just ask, then listen and He will tell you.

Looking into the face of your newborn baby it's hard to grasp that children are full of sin and  need training. But God's word tells us to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Never in God's word do we read watch a child and see which way he goes and come up beside him to encourage his choices. Scripture is very clear that a child obey his parents.

We as parents walking out Gods' will in our own lives will be a guide for our children through the darkness of our world... just like that ship out on the dark ocean spots the lighthouse up ahead - the beacon shinning bright, offering safety and guidance to the shore when a storm is raging.

That I believe is what is missing more than anything else...children seeing Godly parents navigating through each day - leaning on and nestled into the Fathers breast - tucked safely under His wing of shelter, listening to his every heartbeat.

Oh Father, that we will embrace you, realizing as we keep ourselves close to you that our children will see our peace; they will witness our walking hand in hand with you, a righteous and holy life, covered and guided by you, our sweet and loving father that gives good gifts to his children.
