A Threatening Storm

 A Threatening Storm

What appeared as the greatest storm I'd ever face was upon me! I heard the Dr.s voice saying well there wasn't much clarification in the cat scan about that lump in the back of your throat but there's a lot of notes about what did show up...

You have a meningioma tumor on your brain........

I immediately went into shock as I really never thought I would ever hear that word again in my lifetime.

You see my former husband had suffered twelve years with a meningioma brain tumor and it finally took him home to heaven.

So with uncontrollable tears streaming down my face I really didn't hear much more except he would schedule me for an MRI and an appointment to  see a neurologist.

I left his office completely numb and in total disbelief of what he told me.

The next day the imaging office called and scheduled my MRI, and on and on it went with tests, appointments, followup appointments, other specialists with more imaging and when we got to the final appointment at the cancer center to see the radiologist only 4 weeks had passed since I received the diagnosis, which by the way should have never showed up on the cat scan of my throat.

My husband and I marvel at how quickly it all went, because we knew how long the wait can be to see a specialist, (and I saw three) and got in for imaging, and then there was all the followup appointments as well. It became apparent God was moving mountains because almost every appointment I was given would end up with them calling me back and saying "We had a cancellation can you cone in tomorrow, and some just two days. One day while I was on the phone with the receptionist she was saying "it looks like we are really booked up, and then I hear her say "oh wow I just had a cancellation come across my screen can you come tomorrow?"

so now we are all done except for the actual radiation treatment. The doctor told us it was not cancerous, so we are very thankful for that!

But what I really want to say is this...

This storm, although it was looming heavy and scary over the top of us, almost immediately we recognized God had us, and He had the outcome as well and all we needed to do was stay close, very close to Him.

We are not afraid and we know the results will be miraculous! Out of this situation or trial, our joy has been full, our faith has grown exponentially and our trust and love for our God has increased a lot!

What looked like a very dangerous storm has actually produced a beautiful rainbow!

A very special friend sent me this picture with this written in the text "I found your rainbow in Red River. It's waiting for you. God is so good!!! So we told our Doc that we were going on vacation and asked them if they could schedule the treatment for when we get back! We have a rainbow waiting for us🌈

  2. That is so like Jesus to pull the curtain back and shine his light on every lie the enemy wants us to believe
